Erin Zigler has been named Eastview Elementary School Principal by the Lake Geneva Jt. #1 Board of Education. “I am pleased and excited to announce the hiring of Mrs. Erin Zigler as Principal at Eastview Elementary,” said Dr. Jim Gottinger, Superintendent.
Mrs. Zigler has twenty-one years of experience in education with the last six serving in the role as Principal at Randall School in Twin Lakes, WI. She replaces Tami Martin who resigned.
“I have heard amazing things about the teachers, students, and families in the Lake Geneva School District, so I was extremely excited about the principal position at Eastview Elementary,” she said recently. Prior to working as a principal for the last six years, Zigler taught fifth grade for five years. “Fourth and fifth grade students are wonderful to work with. They are at the magical age where they truly start to become independent in their own thinking and in their own learning. This position seemed like a perfect opportunity, based on my own skills and educational background,” she stated.
Zigler loves working with students and teachers to form strong relationships built on trust. “I am passionate about all that I do and will work to support the students and teachers at Eastview to the best of my abilities,” she said.
When she’s not working, Zigler enjoys spending time with her family. Her husband, Brad, is a math teacher at Nippersink Middle School and she has two children, Luke (15), and Kylee (13), who both attend school in Burlington. “In my free time, I like to spend time outdoors, exercise, travel, read, and spend time with family and friends,” Zigler said.
Her goals for this year will be to build strong relationships with our Eastview students, staff and families, to create enjoyable and engaging learning opportunities for our students, to work with our teachers to support their instructional practices and their professional goals, and to assist in the process of creating academic goals based on the needs of our students.
“In an ever-changing global society, it is imperative that all students are given the opportunity to receive a high-quality education that will provide a safe and nurturing environment while allowing and encouraging them to reach their fullest potential,” she said.
“I am extremely excited to join the Lake Geneva (Schools) family and community!” Zigler said. “I cannot wait to meet everyone and begin our work together. I am a committed, passionate leader who genuinely cares about students and putting the needs of students first. I look forward to the upcoming school year and all of the wonderful experiences it will provide for our school and community.”
