Welcome to the Lake Geneva Schools Website. I hope you find the information on this website helpful in gaining the information you desire about our schools.
I am extremely proud of our schools and the fine academic and co-curricular programs they have to offer. Our districts (Lake Geneva-Genoa City Union High School and Lake Geneva Joint #1) have worked diligently to establish a strategic plan to guide our schools planning efforts into the future. This planning process involved staff, students, community, board and administration and is meant to chart a plan for student success and a means for continual improvement for our schools.
Lake Geneva-Genoa City Union High School (Badger) offers a broad curriculum that challenges our most academically oriented students and provides many educational alternatives for students who desire to leave high school equipped to join the workforce. From AP classes to applied courses in all academic areas, opportunities abound for all students. Online learning opportunities are also available to our students to enrich their academic experience. In addition, Badger provides a wide range of athletic and co-curricular activities to meet the needs of all our students. If you can't find it at Badger, you're just not looking!
The Lake Geneva Joint #1 School District boasts of its fine offerings for students in grades 4K-8 and small class sizes of eighteen (18) or fewer in grades K-3. We are committed to small class size to maximize achievement opportunities for our students. Our elementary students transition to our middle school which offers a wide variety of academic offerings including Pre-AP English, STEM and unique elective choices in addition to a rigorous core curriculum. A wide array of co-curricular opportunities are available to all students at our middle school.
Our schools also work diligently to cooperate with the school districts that serve as "feeder" schools to Badger. Linn Joint #4 (Traver), Geneva #4 (Woods), and Genoa City Joint #2 (Brookwood) along with parochial schools at St Francis de Sales, First Evangelical Lutheran, Faith Christian, and Mt. Zion Christian School all send students to Badger High School. Our aim is to work closely with these "feeder" districts to provide for the best possible education for all of our community's children.
All of this supports our commitment to our mission, "Honoring the unique talents of all, WE, the Lake Geneva Area Schools, families and communities, commit to providing every student with an excellent education that ensures the development of responsible, respectful citizens and inspires life-long learning.
