School nursing is an area of practice that is unique, complex, and challenging. It is governed by both state and federal law. Julie filled this role beautifully with deep care for children and a dedication to their overall wellness.

Julie was always sure to share information with teachers, the students, and their families. Julie easily developed a positive and collaborative relationship in the buildings. She also maintained a positive professional relationship with the other district nurses and health aides providing a supportive relationship between the Lake Geneva Schools community.

Health care needs for children has increased in the last few years, the number of children with individual health care needs has been increasing due to increases in allergies, asthma, and diabetes. Julie engages in professional development that allowed her to stay current with a variety of medical conditions and corresponding medications and treatment.

We will miss Julie as she moves into retirement and we wish her well for her new journey. She has been an extremely valuable employee as she has served three elementary schools and one middle school with a population of over 2,000 students. Thank you Julie for your care.
