Eastview & Star Center Named Wisconsin DPI Title I School of Recognition for 2017-18 School YearEastview Elementary School and Star Center Elementary School were two of 135 public schools in the state to earn a Wisconsin Title I School of Recognition Awards for the 2017-18 school year from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. The award highlights schools that have demonstrated success in educating students from low-income families.

To be eligible, schools must receive federal Title I funding to provide services to large numbers or high percentages of economically disadvantaged children and meet other achievement criteria. These awards recognize the work of students and their parents along with teachers, school administrators, and school staff members to break the link between poverty and low academic achievement. Their efforts help ensure that every student graduates college and career ready.

The schools will be honored at a ceremony to be held in Madison on May 21st.

Congratulations to all at Eastview and Star Center! It takes the hard work of all to produce great results!
