The Lake Geneva Anthology is an opportunity for all students in grades 3 – 8 to submit a piece of work in one of the following categories: Prose, Poetry, Art, Cartoon, Expository Writing, and Illustrated Writing for possible publication. Students were asked to relate their work to this year’s theme – “What If?".
The following students were selected to have their work published as part of this year's Lake Geneva Anthology: Penelope Tsakonas (Poetry - Grade 3), Lena Leach (Poetry - Grade 3), Anna Block (Prose - Grade 4), Hazel Nixdorf (Art - Grade 5), Evelyn Reynolds (Prose - Grade 5), Jessica Vasquez-Martinez (Prose - Grade 5), Kennley Burg (Poetry - Grade 6), Mila Brockmann (Art - Grade 6), Coleman Klock and Isaac Jandourek (Illustrated Writing - Grade 6), Genesis Chavez (Art - Grade 7), Naomi Tost (Poetry - Grade 7), Lydia Hunter (Poetry - Grade 7), Olivia Tsakonas (Poetry - Grade 7), Sophia Konieczski (Art - Grade 7), Riley Elverman (Poetry - Grade 7), Isaiah Targo (Poetry - Grade 7), Etta Nafziger (Art - Grade 7), Grace Gorski (Art - Grade 8), Tierney Lentz and Ava Humphrey (Illustrated Writing - Grade 8), Julia Needle (Poetry - Grade 8), Jazmin Chiquillo (Poetry - Grade 8), Daniella Bartos (Poetry - Grade 8), Eli Pedraza (Poetry - Grade 8), Alexa Thomas (Poetry - Grade 8), Dorian Roemer (Art - Grade 8).
At the regional level, thirteen entries were selected to be published in the Southern Lakes Anthology which is a publication created by the Southern Lakes Advanced Learners Network. Those students are: Anna Block, Hazel Nixdorf, Mila Brockman, Coleman Klock and Isaac Jandourek, Lydia Hunter, Riley Elverman, Isaiah Targo, Etta Nafziger, Grace Gorski, Julia Needle, Jazmin Chiquillo, Alexa Thomas, and Dorian Roemer.
In addition, Jamin Chiquillo’s poem, “Melodic Musing,” has been selected to be the grade level read aloud at the Southern Lakes Anthology reception in May.
