Nominate a Teacher and/or Support Staff of Year 2019 - 2020

THE 2019-2020 NOMINATION PERIOD HAS NOW CLOSED.

NOMINATE A TEACHER OF THE YEAR

Dear Lake Geneva Schools' Staff, Parents, School Board Members, and Students:

We are fully into the second semester of school, snow is falling, but we look forward to the coming of spring. As we reflect on the first half of the year, I feel extremely fortunate to have worked closely with so many outstanding educators. Our teachers and special services staff inspire and motivate others around them, including students, parents, and other teachers.

Lake Geneva Schools have a tradition of honoring outstanding Joint #1 and Badger High School educators each year. The districts recognize a "Teacher of the Year'' in the following categories:

  • Elementary
  • Middle School
  • High School
  • Special Services

We would like to request nominations for educators for the 2019-20 school year. Please complete the nomination form and submit by Wednesday, March 11, 2020. Fill in the top portion of the form and then in fifty words or less please describe why you feel the teacher should be ''Teacher of the Year."

Reminder: Teachers of the Year may not be nominated in consecutive years.

Last year's winners were:

  • Elementary:  Amy Stanfield
  • Middle School:  Tamara Pettijohn
  • High School:  Nancy Salazar
  • Special Services:  Jenn Wagner-Martin

The nominated teachers and special services employees will be entered into a selection process. The winners will be recognized at the annual TOY banquet in May. Please seriously consider nominating a teacher or special services staff member in the field of education.

Sincerely,
Dr. Janice Hyde Eckola
Director of Curriculum and Instruction

NOMINATE A SUPPORT STAFF OF THE YEAR

Dear Lake Geneva Schools' Staff, Parents, School Board Members, and Students:

It is time once again to think about all of the support staff with whom you work throughout the year and the invaluable service they provide. Please consider nominating that person(s) who goes the extra mile and does an outstanding job for our schools, staff, and students.

Each year a Support Staff Employee of the Year, one from Joint #1 and one from Badger School District, is selected to be honored at the TOY banquet in May. To nominate a support staff employee, please complete the nomination form

Deadline: Wednesday, March 11, 2020.

This is a great opportunity for you to help recognize an outstanding support staff person who helps make the job easier and does the extra that is needed to help students become their best selves.

Sincerely,
Dr. Janice Hyde Eckola
Director of Curriculum and Instruction
